Meeting director Yimou Zhang was great fun for me. I'm a huge fan. We communicated through our producer who translated for us. A unique and interesting experience for me. Yimou wanted the Tao Tei to have a "false face" something that reads almost like a human face then opens to reveal teeth. It was also very important to have the "true eyes" located on the chest.
